FAQ
What is Accidentally Wes Anderson?
Founded in the Summer of 2017 from a small apartment in Brooklyn, New York, Accidentally Wes Anderson (AWA) has grown to inspire a global community of more than one million Adventurers. We are intrigued by the scenes and associated stories of real-life locations that are seemingly plucked from the creative mind of beloved film director, Wes Anderson. As a Community, we seek and share the most beautiful, idiosyncratic, and interesting places on earth while uncovering unique and unexpected stories behind the facades.

ARTISTS and ART
What is the difference between an “AWA Print” and an “AWA Artist Print”?
In short, “AWA Prints” have been captured by the AWA Adventure Team directly. They are produced at the same museum quality as all other art print images but are not limited in the number that will be ultimately created. These images comprise the core of our collection and we want to ensure that all AWA Community members have access to these items.
We share “AWA Artist Prints” of images that have been captured and shared with the Community from the Community of AWA Photographers. These collectable prints are limited to 500 that are produced across two internationally-recognized standard sizes, A2 and A3. All images are offered with or without frames.
How do you work with artists and photographers on prints that are not owned by AWA?
All photographers who have been selected to join the AWA Artist program have been highly vetted and are 100% involved in sharing the funds raised by print sales. In fact, as an “artist-first” organization, we are happy to report that the majority share of each image’s profit after production fees is provided directly to the artist on a bi-annual basis.
Do photographers get paid when I purchase a print from the AWA website?
Absolutely, please see above. Each photographer is hand-selected and has an individual agreement in place to participate in the creation of art prints for the AWA Community.
Are there any sustainability efforts being done by AWA?
Glad that you asked! We selected our print partner in large part due to their commitments in this area. In fact, AWA’s photographic printing service is 100% end-to-end carbon neutral.
All papers and wood-based materials are sourced from Forestry Stewardship Council-certified sustainable sources. Packaging materials have been carefully selected to reduce the impact on the environment whilst still ensuring your artwork gets to you in perfect condition. Plastics are kept to a minimum and all packaging materials are sustainably sourced, being a mixture of recycled, recyclable or biodegradable materials.
What are the technical specifications of the art prints?
All images are presented on acid-free, archival cotton Baryta Photographique Giclée paper, by Canson one of the world’s preeminent fine art paper mills. Guaranteed archival life of 100+ years.
